The Pedway was built to allow the citizens of Fredericton to have access to the Green from the downtown parking areas without having to cross the four lanes of Ste Anne's Point Drive.
The Princess Margaret Bridge, a 2-lane bridge crossing the St. John River, was opened in 1964. It is named after HRH The Princess Margaret, Countess of Snowdon and sister of HM Queen Elizabeth II.
Westmorland Street Bridge was opened in 1982 replacing the elderly Carleton Street Bridge.
