The Legislative Assembly Building has been the seat of government since 1882. Restored to its original grandeur, this provincial historic site includes the stately Assembly, a majestic spiral staircase, historical portraits and a complete set of 435 hand-coloured copper engravings of the Birds of America by American naturalist John James Audubon.
